In this Youth Class participants will make 3 to 4 greeting cards. Tools and supplies to be used include watercolour paints, archival ink pens, and blank greeting cards. The Instructor will demonstrate the techniques using a document camera/projector. All tools and supplies are included. Minimum 4, maximum 8 participants. Aged 12-18
When: Saturday, March 8 2025 1 - 3 pm in the Clubhouse
Where: Nicola Valley Arts Centre, 2051 Voght Street, Merritt BC
Cost: $35 includes all supplies

Instructor: Amanda Pryzner-Dunn. Amanda of Pink Room Crafts began paper crafting in 2006 while living in Manchester, England. Initially focused on creating greeting cards, Amanda soon began to explore different techniques including quilling (paper rolling), embossing, stamping, as well as watercolour & ink, and acrylic painting. As a primary school teacher, she had the opportunity to gain experience in other areas of arts and crafts and further develop an appreciation for a variety of artistic styles.
This is a beginner course of 3 classes in which students will learn to practice chords on the Ukulele, how to switch cleanly from chord to chord, how to strum a rhythm and finally to culminate in playing a song solo and as a group. Ukuleles will be provided for you, and you can take them home to practice. Just bring yourself and a desire to learn!
Who: Children, ages 6 to 18; maximum 6 students per class
When: Mondays, March 3, 10 and 17 2025 @ 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm
Cost: $45 plus $50 deposit on Ukulele (paid separately).
Deposit will be refunded when Ukulele is returned in working order

Instructor: Evan Snee
Evan first learned Ukulele when he was a child attending a summer school for music in Kamloops. He then started teaching Ukulele to adults and children for 3 years at the same school in Kamloops, after he graduated from High School.

Fun art and craft activities! Bring a snack! We might get messy, so we have shirts here at the Arts Centre Studio. Instructed by Kristina Brewer and Mischelle Pierce

Instructors: Kristina Brewer and Mischelle Pierce are our young at heart instructors. They have as much fun as the kids, and love to see the results of the projects that our Crafty Kids create.
