Murals are capable of expressing historical and cultural identity, build a feeling of community, beautify urban areas, bring attention to social issues, and spark wonder and creativity. In that respect, they are an effective means of enhancing the vibrancy, interest, and overall significance of cities as places to visit, or call home. That’s why art is an important part of my life and I love contributing to the arts scene in Merritt and the Nicola Valley with the Arts Council.
